Welcome Back Gathering for Chevening Alumni

Chevening Alumni Malaysia (CAM) Committee members Nithi Nesadurai, Laila Wilfred, Sharifah Bakar Ali and Samsurin Welch attended the reception held on Thursday, January 28 at the British High Commissioner’s Residence to celebrate the success of and welcome back to Malaysia Chevening Scholars of 2014/2015.

Hosted by the British High Commissioner, Vicki Treadell, the event’s special guest was Chief Executive Officer of Khazanah Malaysia, and Chevening alumnus, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar. After narrating his experiences as Chevening scholar in 2000/2001, Tan Sri Azman engaged with Committee members and committed to deliver a Chevening lecture in the future.

The Committee members engaged with and informed the recently-returned alumni about CAM and its activities. They were encouraged to become members of the Association and attend the annual general meeting in April 2016. Many of them responded positively.
